Our Story

Wash House Youngstown began as a dream shared by Jennifer and Antwaine Rutland. Long before the business existed, they knew they wanted to build something of their own. What they didn’t know was that it would come together in a way only God’s timing could orchestrate.

In November 2025, Jennifer, a national news reporter, was permanently laid off from her job. Like many others, she experienced firsthand how artificial intelligence was changing the workforce.

 

Faced with an unexpected crossroads, they had a decision to make:

Do we follow the traditional path and search for another 9-to-5, or do we take a leap of faith and bet on ourselves?

Well, since you’re reading this, you already know the answer.

Jennifer and Antwaine chose faith, perseverance, and purpose. They stepped into the dream they had carried for years, and Wash House Youngstown was born.

To us, Wash House Youngstown is about much more than laundry. It’s about serving our neighbors with excellence, creating a welcoming place for our community, and building a legacy for our family. It’s about showing the people in our community that they can follow their dreams too.
